1. Introduction

QuizRupi ("QuizRupi", "we", "us", or "our") operates the QuizRupi mobile application ("App").

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information you provide while using our App. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use it, how it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

By accessing or using QuizRupi, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that is reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, and improve QuizRupi.

A. Account Information

When you create or use a QuizRupi account, we may collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Account authentication information

  • Username

  • QuizRupi-generated user code

  • Profile/avatar information

  • Daily reminder preferences

  • Information you provide when contacting customer support

B. Quiz and Gameplay Information

When you use QuizRupi's quiz features, we may collect information such as:

  • Quizzes attempted

  • Quiz categories selected

  • Answers submitted

  • Quiz scores

  • Accuracy information

  • XP or level progression, where applicable

  • Daily challenge or streak information, where applicable

  • Leaderboard information

  • 1v1 Live Battle Arena statistics, where applicable

  • Other gameplay-related activity

This information is used to operate quiz features, maintain your progress, calculate scores, and provide gameplay functionality.

C. QuizRupi Points

QuizRupi may award Points for participating in quizzes or completing eligible in-app activities.

We may maintain information such as:

  • Points earned

  • Points balance

  • Point history

  • Point adjustments resulting from corrections, fraud prevention, or system operations

QuizRupi Points currently have no cash or monetary value.

Points cannot currently be:

  • Converted into cash

  • Withdrawn

  • Transferred to another user

  • Sold or exchanged

  • Used as a payment method

  • Used to purchase products from the QuizRupi Shop

Points are currently an in-app gameplay/progress feature.

D. Book Shop and Delivery Information

QuizRupi may provide a Shop through which users can purchase physical educational or competitive-exam books.

If you place an order, we may collect information necessary to process and deliver the order, including:

  • Recipient name

  • Phone number

  • Delivery address

  • City

  • State

  • Postal PIN code

  • Landmark, if provided

  • Order details

  • Order status

  • Delivery/tracking information

This information is used for order processing, delivery, customer support, and related communications.

E. Payment and UPI Information

QuizRupi may support payments for Shop orders through UPI Intent and other supported payment methods.

When you select UPI Intent, QuizRupi may open or invoke a compatible third-party UPI application, such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, or another supported UPI application.

QuizRupi does not request or store:

  • UPI PIN

  • UPI MPIN

  • Debit card PIN

  • Credit card PIN

  • Banking password

  • CVV

  • Full card authentication credentials

QuizRupi may receive or store a transaction/reference ID or payment confirmation information when necessary to verify and reconcile an order.

The third-party UPI application or payment provider processes the payment according to its own terms and privacy policy.

F. Device and Technical Information

We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, and improve the App, including:

  • Device manufacturer and model

  • Operating system and version

  • App version

  • System language

  • Network/connectivity information

  • Crash reports

  • Diagnostic information

  • App performance information

  • Security and anti-abuse information

This information may be used to troubleshoot problems, improve performance, maintain security, and prevent abuse.

3. How We Use Your Information

Quiz Features

  • Providing quizzes

Points

  • Awarding Points for eligible quiz activities

Points currently do not have monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash or Shop purchases.

Book Shop

  • Processing book orders

  • Confirming payments

  • Preparing orders for dispatch

  • Sharing necessary delivery information with logistics providers

  • Providing order and tracking updates

  • Handling replacement, cancellation, refund, and support requests

Security and Fraud Prevention

We may use information to detect and prevent:

  • Cheating

  • Bots or automated activity

  • Fraud

  • Multiple-account abuse

  • Manipulation of quiz scores or Points

  • Unauthorized access

  • Other activity that may compromise QuizRupi

Customer Support

We may use information you provide to respond to support requests, investigate issues, assist with orders, and resolve account-related problems.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

We may share limited information with service providers when necessary to operate QuizRupi.

These may include:

Supabase

We may use Supabase for authentication, database infrastructure, backend services, and related functionality.

Payment and UPI Services

Third-party payment providers or UPI applications may process payments when you make a Shop purchase.

Logistics and Courier Providers

Necessary delivery information may be shared with courier or logistics providers so that physical book orders can be delivered.

Hosting and Technical Providers

We may use third-party infrastructure and technical providers to host, maintain, secure, and operate portions of QuizRupi.

Third-party providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable terms.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide our services

  • Maintain your account

  • Provide customer support

  • Prevent fraud and abuse

  • Maintain business records

6. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your QuizRupi account.

After verification, we will process the deletion request within a reasonable period, subject to information that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or other legitimate purposes.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Depending on the service, these safeguards may include:

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit

  • Secure authentication mechanisms

  • Database access controls

  • Row-Level Security (RLS), where applicable

  • Password hashing through our authentication provider

  • Access restrictions

  • Security and abuse monitoring

However, no electronic system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

QuizRupi is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information.

Users under 18 should use QuizRupi with the involvement or permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

QuizRupi is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
